Home Based Personal Care Worker

This qualification trains learners to become Home-Based Carers, who offer care and support to patients and their families in their homes or local community settings. The focus is on improving, maintaining, and supporting a person’s health, comfort, and well-being, including assisting with end-of-life care. A qualified learner will be able to assess the needs of patients and their families, create care plans that address physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs, involve the family in the care process, refer patients to other services when needed, and keep detailed records of the care provided.
