This Unit Standard is aimed at managers, safety officers, compliance officers, and others in roles requiring knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Learners will gain the ability to explain the basic principles of the Act and its regulations, outline the minimum compliance requirements, interpret the management controls needed for compliance, and understand the obligations of managers regarding communication and training.
